Starting my career in 2009 as a fitness assistant, I’ve amassed over a decade of experience in the industry. After establishing and managing four gyms and three training businesses, I discovered my passion lies in working one-on-one with dedicated clients. In 2013, I became a personal trainer, but I found the industry’s certification standards lacking. Determined to offer the best service, I pursued an MSc and subsequent PhD in exercise science. Now, as an exercise scientist specialising in strength and conditioning, I regularly train clients privately and confidentially in London and internationally for specific projects.

In my view, every workout should be grounded in a foundational training philosophy. A certified ideology forms the backbone of any effective training system, serving as an ever-evolving theory of practice that steers clients toward their goals and aids in the discovery of their own epistemology. This progressive approach fosters a framework of values informed by modern research advancements and insights from peers, leading to sustainable long-term health and well-being.

Jamie Farrell is an exercise scientist and health consultant, specialising in the strength and conditioning of the human body. He provides personalised one-on-one training sessions in and around London, as well as in select international locations.
